Your First Visit

Everything you need to know before, during, and after your appointment with one of our specialists.

Before Your Appointment

What to bring

  • 1
Your Medicare card, DVA gold card (if applicable), and any private health insurance details.
  • 2
Your referral letter. You should have already sent this to book your appointment, but bring a printed copy as a backup — we need it before your appointment to process your Medicare rebate.
  • 3
A list of your current medications, or bring the actual bottles, patches, or inhalers. Include anything you take occasionally or that is over-the-counter.
  • 4
Copies of recent blood tests, imaging reports, and scans. If you don't have copies, note the name of the pathology or radiology provider (not the GP clinic) — this helps your specialist locate your results.
  • 5
Consider bringing a support person — a family member or friend can help you remember what's discussed during your consultation.

What to wear

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that is easy to move in — a short-sleeved shirt and shorts or loose pants are ideal. Depending on your condition, you may need to undress partially so the specialist can examine the relevant areas of your body.

Getting here

We are located at Suite 20, 13 Digitaria Drive, Gledswood Hills NSW 2557, inside the Gregory Hills Health & Business Centre. Free parking is available in the building's car park. See our Contact page for a map and detailed directions.

At Your Appointment

  • Arrive at least 10 minutes early. You'll need to complete some intake paperwork before your consultation begins.
  • First appointments typically take 30–45 minutes, depending on the complexity of your presentation. Please allow extra time.
  • Payment is by credit or debit card only — we do not accept cash or cheques. Please call our office on (02) 4607 2526 ahead of your visit to discuss fees and any expected out-of-pocket costs.
  • Feel free to ask questions during your consultation. If you have a list of concerns prepared beforehand, bring it with you — this helps ensure nothing gets missed.

After Your Appointment

  • Write down key points as soon as you leave while the information is fresh. It can be difficult to recall everything discussed later.
  • If you think of questions later, write them down and bring them to your next appointment, or ask your GP to clarify.
  • Keep any prescriptions, referrals, or forms from your appointment in a safe place. Replacement documents may incur a fee.
  • Our specialists will send a detailed letter to your GP summarising your consultation and any management plan. Your GP is a key partner in your ongoing care.
